Miniature Inverted Soot Generator

The original Miniature Inverted Soot Generator is a low-cost burner to produce high concentrations of soot for aerosol research, instrument calibration, and testing. The inverted flame geometry results in a flame which is stable for long periods of time and results in stable concentration of soot. The flow rate of fuel can be adjusted to change the concentration and size of the soot particles. The burner can be run on various fuels such as propane or ethylene. A new Liquid Fuel Miniature Inverted Soot Generator is now available.
